In the fall of 2021, after decades of public criticism and a lawsuit that forced the government to catch up on its species at risk recovery planning actions, the province finally released the 9 years overdue updated Recovery Plan for the Mainland Moose. We commend the province for producing a sound plan for moose, emphasizing the immediate need for forestry reform in moose habitat. Now, we must hold the Nova Scotia government to this plan. Help us Save The Mainland Moose by advocating for ecological forestry practices.
