Join us and friends at Ducks Unlimited Canada and the Cole Harbour Parks and Trails Association, August 7th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the Salt Marsh Trail for a basics of coastal birding workshop in celebration of Wetlands Appreciation Week!
Wetlands Appreciation Week is a collaborative initiative of several Nova Scotian eNGOs, municipalities, and the province to profile the value of wetlands, the work being done to protect them, and gaps where we still have more to do. The third annual Wetlands Appreciation Week is happening officially August 9th to 17th, but there are events happening over the whole month to engage Nova Scotians in the amazing world of wetlands! Check out the full line up via Ecology Action Centre.
Topics we’ll cover include:
- What apps to use
- How to ID common species
- Basic shorebird ecology
To wrap up and cool down, we’ll be sharing Smithsonian-certified Bird Friendly® iced coffee will participants.
No registration required. Hope to see you there!
