Description
Have you ever wondered what it was like to be a gold miner in the 1800’s in Nova Scotia? Come join Molly LeBlanc, Masters of Environmental Science student at Saint Mary’s University, to learn about the old, abandoned gold mines of Nova Scotia, and what life was life for gold miners back them. We will also learn about how old gold mines are still affecting the ecosystems and species around them, and how wetland insects can help us better understand these sites!
This meeting with NOT be at the Museum of Natural History. Instead, it will be in the board room (upstairs) at the Maritimes Museum of the Atlantic, on Lower Water Street.
