9:30 am - 11:30 am
We will once again participate in the longest running citizen science project in the world – the Christmas Bird Count! Lots of eyes are needed to spot all the birds we can in one morning, but no previous experience in bird identification is necessary to help out. We’ll be helped a ton by special guests from the Nova Scotia Bird Society. And at the end, bird spotters will be rewarded with warm apple cider, treats, and prizes!
Meet at the lower parking lot of Point Pleasant Park at 9:30am. We’ll search the woods and waters of the park till 11:15, the reunite to share observations and goodies.
Send a quick email to Karen at ynchalifax at yncns dot ca to register.
Remember to dress super duper warm for this field trip. Bring binoculars if you have them, but we’ll also have pairs to lend out.
